Grenada Sailing Week programme
Grenada Sailing Week features six days packed of racing and shoreside celebrations across Grenada and Carriacou.
The event will open in Carriacou with a skippers briefing and opening party, also serving as the finish line for the Rum to Spice feeder race from Barbados. From there, the action unfolds:
- Race Day 1: A coastal race Around Carriacou
- Race Day 2: A longer offshore challenge from Carriacou to Grenada
- Lay Day: While most crews take a break, Light Keel Boats will take center stage
- Race Days 4 & 5: Intense around-the-cans racing off Grenada’s south coast
Beyond the competition, the regatta is known for its welcoming community vibe – expect lively dockside gatherings, cold drinks, and performances from local bands.
A bit of history behind the Grenada Sailing Week
Originally part of the Grenada Sailing Festival in 1993, the keelboat regatta evolved into its entity in 2012, rebranded as Grenada Sailing Week by a group of dedicated sailors and industry leaders.
Since then, it has grown into a respected fixture on the regional sailing calendar, attracting a diverse fleet and showcasing the natural beauty of Grenada’s tri-island state.
