USVI International Optimist Regatta

Each year, Cowpet Bay becomes the hub of junior sailing excellence during the International Optimist Regatta. Over the course of a full week, young sailors aged 8 to 15 from around the world take part in an energetic mix of training and competition.
The action begins just offshore, where steady trade winds set the stage for three days of thrilling races. Before that, participants sharpen their skills in a three-day clinic and test their teamwork in a dedicated day of team racing.
More than just a regatta, it’s a celebration of youth, talent, and the spirit of sailing, a tradition that continues to grow stronger and more impressive every year.
