Fountaine Pajot FP 51 – NEW
Features
The Fountaine Pajot FP 51 builds on a platform that has already proven its value at sea. Developed as the successor to the widely successful Aura 51, it features evolution rather than a complete redesign, refining what worked while integrating practical improvements.
With more than 130 Aura 51 units delivered since 2022, Fountaine Pajot had a strong foundation. The FP 51 takes that experience further, aligning with the shipyard’s new generation range. The result is a modernised 50-foot catamaran designed to meet current expectations in terms of comfort, usability and onboard systems, while remaining competitively positioned in its segment.
A versatile 50-foot platform
At 15.91 metres in length and 8.08 metres in beam, the FP 51 offers the volume and stability expected for extended cruising, whether in the Caribbean or further afield.
Its balance between space and manoeuvrability makes it suitable for a variety of sailing plans. It is equally relevant for private owners seeking autonomy and comfort, and for charter operations where generous living areas and multiple cabins are essential.
Importantly, the boat remains accessible to handle without a professional skipper, which is a key consideration for many cruising programmes.

Layouts adapted to different uses
Four interior configurations are available, all with en-suite cabins, allowing owners to align the boat with their intended use:
-
Maestro: 5 cabins, including one owner’s cabin
-
Full Maestro: 4 cabins with a full-hull owner’s suite
-
Double Maestro: 4 cabins, including two owner-style cabins
-
6-cabin version: optimised for maximum guest capacity
This flexibility makes it possible to prioritise either privacy and onboard comfort or accommodation capacity for charter.
Practical upgrades throughout
The FP 51 introduces a series of targeted improvements already seen on the latest models in the range.
Hull and upholstery
Externally, the hull styling and outdoor upholstery have been updated to match the current Fountaine Pajot design language, offering a more contemporary and refined look.
Helm station
At the helm, a new standard console improves ergonomics and integrates larger navigation displays. A hardtop now protects the entire steering area, with an opening section that allows ventilation and visibility when desired.
Rigging
Sail handling has also been enhanced. The deck hardware has been upgraded with Lewmar components. The lashing system replaces the traditional hook, simplifying hoisting and lowering the mainsail. Running rigging benefits from higher-quality Dyneema halyards and more durable, flexible lines overall.
Interior comfort
Inside, subtle additions enhance everyday living on board. Cabins are now fitted with headboards, bringing a more finished and comfortable feel to sleeping areas.
Electrical system
The onboard electrical system has been made more user-friendly with the introduction of remote-controlled circuit breakers, allowing the boat to be powered up without accessing the engine compartment.
Aft deck access
At the stern, a redesigned folding swim ladder offers easier access to the water while integrating more cleanly into the transom design.
