Merci beaucoup Thomas pour ce t\u00e9moignage.\u00a0<\/em>\u2693<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De la France aux Cara\u00efbes \u2013 Dois-je rester ou dois-je partir ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c Lorsque j'ai re\u00e7u l'appel t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique de Peter, de Caribbean Multihulls, pour livrer un tout nouveau \u26f5&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.caribbean-multihulls.com\/fr\/fountaine-pajot\/new-45\/\">Elba 45<\/a>&nbsp;De La Rochelle \u00e0 Antigua, j'\u00e9tais tiraill\u00e9 entre : \u201c<strong>Est-il raisonnable de traverser si tard dans la saison avec des vents potentiellement tr\u00e8s faibles ?<\/strong>? \u201d et faire une pause pendant cette p\u00e9riode folle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J'ai finalement d\u00e9cid\u00e9 que ce serait tr\u00e8s positif de quitter la vie terrestre, d'oublier les masques et d'obtenir un bol de libert\u00e9.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De La Rochelle \u00e0 Las Palmas \u2013 Autant en emporte le vent<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c D\u00e8s que le bateau a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9quip\u00e9 de tous ses accessoires (panneaux solaires, dessalinisateur), nous avons organis\u00e9 l'approvisionnement et commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 chercher une fen\u00eatre m\u00e9t\u00e9o. En fait, m\u00eame \u00e0 la fin du printemps, les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques \u00e9taient hivernales et nous avons d\u00fb attendre une fen\u00eatre m\u00e9t\u00e9o nous permettant de quitter le golfe de Gascogne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce qui s'est finalement produit 10 jours plus tard. C'\u00e9tait une petite fen\u00eatre, mais c'en \u00e9tait une. Nous \u00e9tions nombreux \u00e0 quitter La Rochelle en m\u00eame temps. Au cours des 30 derniers milles nautiques avant le cap Finist\u00e8re, le vent a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 souffler  du sud-ouest plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu et&nbsp;<strong>Nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 agr\u00e9ablement surpris de voir \u00e0 quel point elle passait bien les vagues.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur l'AIS, nous avons pu voir quelques bateaux qui commen\u00e7aient \u00e0 se diriger vers la terre ferme pour trouver refuge et des eaux calmes, mais nous avons r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 passer le cap Finist\u00e8re et avons \u00e9vit\u00e9 de rester bloqu\u00e9s dans un port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>En mettant le cap vers le sud, nous avons enfin pu hisser les voiles pour la premi\u00e8re fois et... Quelle belle surprise ! Nous naviguions \u00e0 une vitesse de 8 \u00e0 9 n\u0153uds avec un vent de 15 n\u0153uds, en descendant au vent.<\/strong>&nbsp;Cela a r\u00e9joui l'\u00e9quipage et \u00e9tait de bon augure pour la travers\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous avons atteint Las Palmas en moins de 9 jours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travers\u00e9e transatlantique \u2013 West Side Story<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c Il est temps de faire le plein de provisions fra\u00eeches, de v\u00e9rifier le bateau de haut en bas, de pr\u00e9voir du carburant suppl\u00e9mentaire, puis... Il est temps de faire le grand saut vers l'ouest, vers les couchers de soleil.&nbsp;<strong>Comme souvent entre les \u00eeles Canaries, nous avons eu un fort<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;Vent du nord au nord-est, nous poussant avec de belles vagues \u00e0 13 n\u0153uds, le record \u00e9tant de 17,6 n\u0153uds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois sortis des \u00eeles, nous avons pu profiter d'une navigation facile et rapide.&nbsp;<strong>La g\u00e9nois d'un c\u00f4t\u00e9, la grand-voile de l'autre, nous glissions vers l'ouest.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Nous avons utilis\u00e9 le gennaker 3 ou 4 fois, mais nous avons principalement navigu\u00e9 avec le g\u00e9nois et la grand-voile, maintenant une vitesse moyenne l\u00e9g\u00e8rement inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 7 n\u0153uds avec seulement 15 \u00e0 18 n\u0153uds d'aliz\u00e9s.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antigua, me voil\u00e0 \u2013 Assis sur le quai de la baie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Chaque jour, nous profitions du grand flybridge de l'Elba pour prendre un ap\u00e9ritif au coucher du soleil, et de la grande table du cockpit pour d\u00e9jeuner et d\u00eener, \u00e0 l'abri du vent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la tente du cockpit.<\/strong>&nbsp;De tr\u00e8s bons repas ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9s dans la grande cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et enfin,&nbsp;<strong>Apr\u00e8s seulement 17 jours, nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 Antigua.<\/strong>. \u00catre le seul bateau amarr\u00e9 \u00e0 English Harbour \u00e9tait une sensation \u00e9trange, mais cela a facilit\u00e9 le retour \u00e0 la \u201c vraie \u201d vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C'\u00e9tait l'une de mes travers\u00e9es les plus rapides \u23ed et certainement celle qui a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 le moins d'heures de moteur !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Merci encore Peter pour ta confiance, et bon vent \u00e0 son heureux propri\u00e9taire.\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We recently posted about an English couple who chose to\u00a0live the Caribbean dream on board their Elba 45.
