No porque la navegaci\u00f3n no sea buena, sino porque est\u00e1 ocurriendo algo en tierra que no debe perderse. En las islas Caim\u00e1n, ese momento llega en mayo, con el Cayman Carnival Batabano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lanzado en 1983 por el Club Rotario de Gran Caim\u00e1n, Batabano es el carnaval nacional de las Islas Caim\u00e1n. Se celebra cada a\u00f1o al comienzo de la temporada de desove de las tortugas, una \u00e9poca muy significativa en todas las islas. <strong>El nombre proviene de una palabra local que describe las huellas que dejan en la arena las tortugas marinas cuando llegan a la orilla para anidar.<\/strong>. Descubrir esas huellas ha sido durante mucho tiempo un motivo de celebraci\u00f3n aqu\u00ed, y ese esp\u00edritu se transmite a lo largo de todo el carnaval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al llegar por mar durante el Batabano, se siente r\u00e1pidamente el cambio de ambiente. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caribbean-multihulls.com\/es\/eventos\/categoria\/carnavales-caribenos\/\">Carnaval en el Caribe<\/a> es siempre una vibrante mezcla de m\u00fasica, danza e historia, pero aqu\u00ed refleja algo \u00fanico. En las Islas Caim\u00e1n viven m\u00e1s de 100 nacionalidades, y esa diversidad es visible en todas partes: en los ritmos, los trajes y la energ\u00eda de las calles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El punto culminante es el desfile. Miles de personas se re\u00fanen, locales y visitantes, para participar en una celebraci\u00f3n que cada a\u00f1o es m\u00e1s elaborada. Los disfraces son atrevidos y coloridos, las coreograf\u00edas llenan las calles y las carrozas desfilan en un continuo despliegue de creatividad. No es s\u00f3lo algo para ver: se forma parte de ello nada m\u00e1s entrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Batabano es m\u00e1s que una fiesta. Es una forma de que la isla celebre su entorno, exprese su creatividad e incluso llame la atenci\u00f3n sobre temas sociales, todo ello uniendo a la gente. Y desde el punto de vista de un marinero, es una de esas raras experiencias que te hacen alegrarte de haber bajado a tierra.<\/p>\n\n\n<div  class=\"tribe-block tribe-block__organizer__details
