Possibly the best cruising catamaran ever built, the Isara 50 is a 52-foot luxury sailing dream.

The Isara 50 is intended from the outset to be a strong, reliable Blue Water cruiser while still retaining a certain grace, style, and subtle luxury.  The design brief was simple: Safety, Space, Speed, and Comfort.   Built to Category “A” offshore standards at the famous Ta Yang shipyards in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, The Isara 50 was built with the same skill and attention to detail as the famous Tayana monohulls for which the yard is so famous.   In every respect she is over-engineered, from her rig to her hull laminates, no expense was spared.  There is no reason to think that like the Tayana monohulls, this vessel won’t be in service for decades.

The exterior is clean, and crisp, while at the same time stylish.  Wide side decks make moving about easy and safe.  Beautiful teak decking adds a stylish touch.   Custom laser cut stainless spiral stairs lead to a remarkable flybridge area reminiscent of a sport fishing vessel that allows you to relax in comfort at anchor, or operate the vessel in total comfort in most conditions.   The cockpit is roomy and comfortable, an outdoor living space for the whole family.

The interior is perfect balance of luxury and good taste.  Where other catamarans in this class feature fairly basic interior construction and materials, the Isara boasts beautiful real-wood joinery and fantastic fabrics and finishes.  The salon is exceptionally large and open thanks to the integrated carbon fibre arch supporting the mast step on the cabintop.  This is a Maestro addition, with an owner’s hull to the port side.  It’s a beautiful enormous private suite where you can get away at the end of the day.  Three more cabins on the starboard side round out the accomodations.

This is the second of the two of these magnificent vessels that were built.  It might be surmised that they were built too well, that the business model simply didn’t exist for cruising catamarans of this outstanding quality.  Counting Waterfalls has been extensively upgraded beyond its high-end beginnings, making it a well-thought-out turnkey cruiser for the discerning world traveler.
